Sustainability
Our Mission and Heart
Our goal is to help make your event more eco-friendly!
A core tenet of our business is sustainability. Our key material is nature itself, and we see it as our duty to help protect it! Therefore, we take an eco-friendly approach to floral design. We do this in a variety of ways.

What is a
“Green Wedding”?
A green wedding, also known as an eco-friendly or sustainable wedding, is a celebration where the couple tries to reduce the event’s effect on the environment.
Sustainability in Action
-
Focusing on local, in-season flowers during the Midwest growing season
Working directly with local sustainable flower farmers
-
Eliminating the use of floral foam, a toxic material that is not biodegradable and has an impact on landfills. We use chicken wire instead!
Check out the gallery to see floral pieces and installations done WITHOUT the use of floral foam
-
Recycling and composting waste
Communicating all invoices electronically
-
Passing it on - we love to coordinate flower donations after events. Many of our flowers enjoy a second life at nursing homes and hospitals around the city.
Stephanie is the Vice President of the Green Wedding Alliance, a collective of local wedding and event vendors in the Chicago area, working together to bring more eco-friendly practices to the event industry.
What happens to our flowers
after the wedding?
After each celebration, we believe the beauty of your flowers can live on. All remaining flowers are either lovingly composted to nourish future blooms or donated to local nursing homes. This way, every arrangement continues to make a positive impact long after the day.
